Adapting IMDb Video Series "No Small Parts"

Overview:

Launched in 2014, “No Small Parts” is a career retrospective video series that highlights actors and their earliest, most popular, and sometimes overlooked roles in film and television.

My Role:

In 2018, as a member of the Indian Entertainment team on IMDb.com, I wrote a proposal to adapt episodes of “No Small Parts” to focus on entertainment stars from India. For the initial test, we created an episode with star Pankaj Tripathi. The video series drove 534.3K video views and 15.0K engagements across organic 3P channels. The post’s high performance was linked to fan’s celebrating the up-and-coming star by sharing and commenting on the post. Plus, the actor shared the posts on his social channel.

The Outcome:

After the success of the test episode, I aligned leadership on a 24-episode contract with Brandon Hardesty to produce "No Small Parts" episodes to celebrate and elevate talent from India. I owned the end-to-end production of the show, from negotiating a creative services agreement with series creator Brandon Hardesty, to detailing which clips should be used in the episode, to promoting the episodes across IMDb’s website and social channels. The series drove engagement on IMDb’s social and PR channels, building a strong connection with audiences interested in Indian cinema, with fans even reacting with recommendations for new shows and providing our team with ample feedback. Examples of a few episodes I produced are:

o  Pankaj Tripathi: No Small Parts

o  Rajkummar Rao: No Small Parts

o   Ayushmann Khurrana: No Small Parts

o   Radhika Apte: No Small Parts

 Vicky Kaushal: No Small Parts
